Caleb & Jordan's Courtship Update

For those who are interested in following Caleb and Jordan's courtship, Jordan's sister, Kelsey, has updated their family blog with loads of photos and commentary of Caleb's recent trip to South Carolina.  You can find the updates here, here, here, here, and here!

Kelsey's done a terrific job as the official South Carolina photographer/chaperone, as has Savannah!  We think they're quite enjoying themselves, at least as much as we've enjoyed the results of their labour!

Is Your Church "DIVIDED"?

Try as we might, we can't really find biblical support for dividing the church body into age or special interest groups on any kind of regular basis.  Despite that, almost all churches today seem to do that very thing.

has just made the movie DIVIDED available online at no charge.  We encourage you to view the movie and to study the scriptures in order to evaluate whether or not what most churches currently practice is pleasing to the Lord.

Another good resource which speaks to the issue is,
A Weed In The Church, by Scott Brown. Scott presents an excellent biblical analysis of the error of age and special interest or segregated ministry.

From Flowers To Dead Chickens!

Life's always interesting on the farm.  One day it's picking up machinery parts and bouquets of flowers, and the next day it's processing chickens.

I've just come in from helping my brother weigh and label his first crop of pre-sold chickens,  preparing them for his customers to pick up over the next few days.  A nice looking bunch of birds!  Makes a gal want to fire up the stove and set one to roasting.  Ahhh... never mind.  I think I'll just throw a couple of frozen pizzas in the oven for when Dad and Caleb get in from milking.  It's been a long day, with all of us up extra early, and it promises to be a late night - for the fellas anyway - 'cause this chicken business interferes a bit with the dairy business and they're still out milking!

So, How Sweet Is My Dad?

Today my dad was in town picking up parts for machinery and came home with these for my mom.  Isn't he just the sweetest?  I sure think so.  And my mom does too!

It was actually one large bouquet, but we didn't have a vase big enough so split it up.

You know, it sure makes a daughter happy to see her dad treat her mom so well!  Of course, Dad treats Mom well all the time, the flowers were just a little something extra special for no reason at all, just to let her know that he thinks of her even when he's running mundane errands like picking up tractor parts!
